The denim company of Eroğlu Holding, DNM, operating in Damietta, Egypt was awarded with Best in Class award for its high-performance product manufactured for Levi’s Red Tab Woman Series. DNM has also been the first denim fabric manufacturer to receive WATER LESS™ MILL certificate from Levi’s for its technology reducing water consumption by 40% from its source and recycling water by 94,3%. DNM received its award at Levi’s-Vendor Summit Awards where Levi’s suppliers met at Bangkok.
Investment for Water Saving and Recycling Brought Award
At the waste water recycling plant installed with an investment of 10 million dollars, Mr.Nurettin Eroğlu, Chairman of Eroğlu Holding, underlined that they use a closed circuit decontamination system instead of a traditional biologic decontamination system in order to minimize the water consumption to minimum and continued his words as follows: “It is a great honor not only for us but also for our country to the first denim fabric manufacturer to receive WATER LESS™ MILL certificate and the “Best in Class Mill” award from Levi’s. The success of a Turkish company is a very important achievement in terms of our country’s innovation and sustainability in denim and textile industry. As Eroğlu Holding, we achieved this success thanks to our environmental friendly manufacturing policy. We maintain all our activities so as to protect our world and environment with the awareness of the importance to use the water resources properly.”
Eroğlu mentioned that they are the largest denim fabric manufacturer in the region with DNM in Damietta and that they serve for the global denim trademarks, and added that they continuously work on innovation studies to have environmental-friendly production.
Eco Laundry Certificate from Marks & Spencer
With its industrial experience of 30 years, Eroğlu Holding works on process improvement and energy management activities by giving priority to water saving and received Eco Laundry Certificate given by Marks&Spencer for its environmental-friendly manufacturing activities in 2016.
Eroğlu Giyim being the first company to get the Eco Laundry Ecologic Washing Unit certificate was a pioneer in determining the standards in the world.
Investment of 20 Million Dollars in the Plant in Aksaray
Besides its investments in textile overseas, Eroğlu Holding also realized an investment of 20 million dollars for its plant in Aksaray and added 20 thousand square meters additional to its current apparel production unit. In addition, Mr.Nurettin Eroğlu, Chairman of Eroğlu Holding informed that they will establish a fabric denim production plant of 50 thousand sqms to the current plant in Aksaray and signaled that the investments will continue.
