The fair, which will bring together leading textile machinery manufacturers from Turkey and around the world with sector professionals, aims to be an important platform where the latest innovations in textile technologies will be introduced.
Technology Support for the Textile Sector
The fair offers great opportunities for the textile sector, one of the cornerstones of the Turkish economy, in terms of examining high-tech machines that provide increased efficiency and reduced costs. During the fair, new generation machines developed will be presented to visitors via live demonstrations under major headlines such as automation, digitalization and energy efficiency. It will also be an important business platform for companies that want to establish sectoral collaborations and connections.
Vandewiele Emphasis on Technology in Carpet
Vandewiele, a global pioneer in the field of textile machinery, will introduce the latest technology solutions it has developed for carpet, velvet and technical fabric production at GTM 2025. Vandewiele Turkey Manager Atila Demirhan, who focuses on strong production centers such as Gaziantep in the carpet group, stated that the fair will be a productive one thanks to the high clusture structure of the region.
Demirhan: “Gaziantep is the heart of Turkey in carpet production. These companies have focused on modernizing their production infrastructures in recent years. The GTM 2025 fair will make a great contribution to this technological transformation process.” Demirhan also talked about their planned important business meetings with local and foreign sector representatives during the fair and said, “All brands of our group will take part in GTM 2025 and we will exhibit our latest technology solutions.”
“Face-to-Face”
The “face-to-face” technique developed by Vandewiele and used in weaving factories since 1880 enables the creation of 3D structures in carpet and velvet production. In this technique, in addition to the warp and weft yarns that form the ground structure, two symmetrical carpets can be produced at the same time thanks to the pile yarns that connect the upper and lower fabrics. This efficient method increases quality while also reducing costs.
R&D and Innovative Approach
Vandewiele, headquartered in Belgium, operates globally with many leading textile machinery companies under its roof. Its R&D department and test engineers continue to lead the sector by constantly developing innovations in carpet, velvet and yarn applications. These innovations not only increase production quality, but also contribute to the sustainability and energy efficiency goals of the sector.
Besides, while aiming to provide more comprehensive and high-quality service to its customers, Vandewiele has also included Savio spinning machines in its group. The company further decided on conducting its sales and after-sales activities via Vandewiele Istanbul which is its organization in Turkey.
Regional Power: 75% of Turkey's Textile Production is in This Region
The region, covering Adana, Adıyaman, Kayseri, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya, Osmaniye and Şanlıurfa as well as Gaziantep, meets 75% of Turkey's textile production. This dense cluster structure makes the region an attractive market for both domestic and international machinery manufacturers. At the same time, the region, which strengthens its production infrastructure with state support, is gaining even more power with international events such as GTM 2025.
