Hemaks Makina, which entered the sector in 1978 with the production of woven rug machines in a small workshop on Nizip Street in Gaziantep with the efforts of 3 brothers, currently employs over 100 people with its 20,000 square meter closed area in Gaziantep Organized Zone and carries out the machinery and technology production of many domestic and international textile manufacturers.
Carpet Weaving Machine Production
Hemaks Board Member Serdar Helvacıkara made a statement regarding the production segments and said, ‘’Our company, which has switched from rug looms to carpet weaving looms by following the developing technology over the years and in line with the demands and needs of the manufacturers in the sector, has taken its place in Turkey and amongst the few companies in the world, and has proven itself in the sector as the first Turkish company to participate in the ITMA fair held in Italy in 1995.’’
Moving to Yarn Machine Production
Helvacıkara stated while renewing themselves in line with the demands of the textile sector and continued their technology and R&D investments, ‘’Our company, which constantly observes the rhythm of the sector, has focused its research and development studies on yarn machines in order to meet the demand for yarn machine manufacturing in the sector with the 2000’s and has switched from carpet weaving loom machine manufacturing to yarn machine manufacturing.
In the last 25 years, it has already manufactured approximately 30 yarn machines such as chenille yarn, fancy yarn, yarn winding, yarn skein, yarn centering machine.’’
Helvacıkara, who emphasized the goals of contributing to the country’s economy and the textile sector, said, ‘’Since the day it was founded, our company’s main goal has been to contribute to the country’s economy by producing world-class machines with developing advanced technology. In this way, it has taken its place amongst Turkey’s leading companies in textiles. In addition to the importance given to R&D, it has a wide-scale machine line with the advanced technology used, future-oriented model variety and selectivity at every stage. Thanks to this trust we have gained from our work, the machines produced by our company have been finding markets in other countries as well as in Turkey for 47 years.’’
''We Are Also Expecting Visitors from Neighboring Countries to the Gaziantep Textile Machinery Fair''
Noting that the Textile Machinery Fair GTM2025, which will be held in Gaziantep, the center of textile production, will lead to the development and technology transfer of the sector, Serdar Helvacıkara concluded with the following, ‘’And again, as in every leading fair in the textile sector held in the World and in Turkey, we took our place in the GTM2025 Gaziantep fair. We are making a very strong participation in the fair. Within this scope, we plan to exhibit 12 of our machines to our customers in the fair area. The GTM2025 fair will be a good opportunity for us to introduce our renewed machines to our existing customers in Gaziantep as well as to our existing and potential customers in our region whom will visit the fair from neighboring countries.’’
