One of Türkiye’s leading yarn manufacturers, Göliplik Şeremet Tekstil Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., has made a significant investment decision to enter the nonwovens market. The company is preparing to commission a neXline wetlace™ production line supplied by ANDRITZ for the manufacture of sustainable and flushable wipes. Within the scope of the project, for which installation and commissioning activities are scheduled to begin in the last quarter of 2026, high-quality nonwoven roll goods for bio-based and flushable wipes will be produced. The complete Wetlace™ line supplied by ANDRITZ will enable Göliplik to extend its existing textile manufacturing experience into a new field.
Strategic Transition from Yarn to Nonwovens Production
Founded in Bursa in 1987, Göliplik currently operates four production facilities with a broad yarn portfolio consisting of various blends. The company’s investment in the nonwovens sector is regarded as an important part of its growth strategy in technical textiles and sustainable hygiene products. Erdoğan Seremet, Chairman of the Board of Göliplik, stated that the investment represents the beginning of a new era for the company and noted that the technology partnership established with ANDRITZ supports its sustainable growth objectives. Seremet emphasized that the activities carried out within the scope of the project will create new opportunities for sustainable wipes production in Türkiye.
Technology Partnership and Training Support
Tobias Schäfer, Vice President Nonwoven & Textile at ANDRITZ, stated that close cooperation has been maintained between the two companies throughout the project and that the process has progressed as planned thanks to structured project management, transparent communication and coordinated engineering activities. As part of the investment, Göliplik’s operating team will receive training at ANDRITZ’s nonwovens technology center in France in preparation for the commissioning process. Additional technical training will also be provided on site during the start-up phase of the production line.
A New Contribution to Sustainable Nonwovens Production
The collaboration between Göliplik and ANDRITZ reflects a shared approach toward the reliable implementation of advanced nonwoven technologies while also aiming to contribute to the development of the sustainable wipes and hygiene products market in Türkiye. Upon completion of the project, Göliplik will join the ranks of manufacturers operating not only in conventional yarn production but also in the nonwovens sector.
