The Fundamental Nonwovens training series, introduced as the first phase of the initiative, aims to provide essential nonwovens knowledge to both professionals entering the industry and employees transitioning into different functional roles. Accessible online, the programme offers a common knowledge foundation for professionals working in commercial, operational, technical and regulatory fields. As part of the training programme, participants can gain insight into the global nonwovens market, raw materials, web formation and bonding technologies, as well as fundamental manufacturing processes. The programme is planned to be expanded during 2026 to also cover finishing and treatment applications.
The programme developed by GNA is intended to provide a scalable training model that companies can use for employee onboarding and workforce development. Expanding the use of common terminology and core industry knowledge among employees is expected to strengthen cross-functional communication and help employees reach productivity more quickly.
