The KARL MAYER Group is restructuring its management, appointing Lutz Wolf as CEO of KARL MAYER Holding SE & Co. KG.

Management Change at the KARL MAYER Group: Lutz Wolf Becomes CEO

After serving as Chairman of the Supervisory Board for nearly 10 years and most recently managing the company as Interim CEO for 11 months, Uwe Lüders will retire. 51-year-old Lutz Wolf has a solid background in textile machinery and mechanical engineering. He spent the last eight years as a member of the Executive Board at the Neuenhauser Group, serving more than four years as CEO.

At Neuenhauser, he was responsible for the textile machinery and automation divisions as well as the metal processing sector. He led process optimizations and played an active role in shaping the group’s strategic development.

Wolf began his career at Siemens in 1995, holding various management positions in Germany and China. He later joined the GEA Group, where between 2007 and 2017 he further enhanced his international management experience, particularly through his roles in the United States.

Thanks and Expectations from the Supervisory Board

Dr. Lorenz Zwingmann, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of KARL MAYER, expressed his gratitude for Lüders’ long-standing contributions, stating:
“Uwe Lüders has made significant contributions to the KARL MAYER Group both as Chairman of the Supervisory Board and as Interim CEO. We thank him for his dedicated service.”

Zwingmann also commented on the new CEO:
“Lutz Wolf’s operational experience, strategic vision, and international management expertise are extremely important for the transformation of the KARL MAYER Group. We wish him success in his new role.”

First Message from Lutz Wolf

New CEO Lutz Wolf emphasized KARL MAYER’s tradition of more than 85 years, stating:
“There are three key factors that make our company successful: strong products, customer proximity, and speed of implementation. From now on, we will continue to focus on these values. Cohesion, focus, and speed will be the keys to our future success.”

Wolf also highlighted the group’s new focus:“We will concentrate on the areas where we are particularly strong. Knitting machines, technical textiles, and warp preparation for weaving will be our core business areas in the future.”
