With the new investment, the company aims to complete an integrated production chain extending from polyamide 6 production to filament yarn manufacturing. Following a commissioning and installation phase of only seven months, the plant started production at the end of 2025 and has reached a daily production capacity of 20 metric tons of high-quality polyamide 6. The produced material is converted into filament yarn for textile applications through a direct spinning system. The company also emphasized that energy consumption in the production process has been significantly reduced.
The two-reactor system has been redeveloped
The new technology developed within the scope of the joint venture between German chemical fiber plant manufacturer Barmag and Chinese chemical plant specialist Huitong has re-optimized the classic two-reactor system, making it more competitive for PA6 direct spinning applications. The company states that this structure represents an important alternative for future polyamide 6 direct spinning investments. It was also stated that Barmag Huitong Engineering continues its process and equipment development activities and is working on new solutions aimed at increasing plant efficiency. With these investments, the company aims to establish a more sustainable structure within the nylon production chain.
Barmag continues to grow in manmade fiber technologies
