Yarn Expo 2026 will focus on synthetic yarns and fibres

The fair will be held on 11–13 March 2026 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, China. With the increasing demand for sustainability and high-performance yarn solutions, synthetic yarns and fibres developed for sportswear, medical textiles and home textiles will stand out at the fair. Organisers expect the fair to host more than 600 exhibitors across an area of approximately 27,000 square metres.

Sustainability and circular economy at the forefront

Efforts to reduce environmental impact in the synthetic yarn sector are increasing interest in recycled PET fibres, biodegradable polymers and cleaner production methods. While the circular economy approach has become an important part of long-term strategies for brands and suppliers, the fair is positioned as a platform for the presentation of new products and applications in this field.

Fringe events to be organised within the scope of Yarn Expo Spring 2026 will also include green fibre certifications and new product launches. These events aim to increase information sharing and cooperation among industry professionals.

International participants to showcase innovations

Manufacturers of synthetic yarns and fibres from various countries, primarily from Asia, are expected to participate in the fair. Among the participants are companies based in Taiwan, China and Japan offering sustainable and recycled yarn solutions. These companies will bring their new products for different application areas, from activewear to technical textiles, together with industry professionals.

Concurrent fairs and organisation

Yarn Expo Spring is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Textile Industry Sub-Council of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). The fair will be held concurrently with Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Spring Edition, Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Spring Edition, CHIC and PH Value. Officials aim for these concurrent organisations to create broader business opportunities for exhibitors and visitors.
