Trützschler Group SE, with the CL-X Pre-Cleaner launched in 2022, offers solutions that enhance both quality and efficiency in cotton cleaning. Since its launch, the machine has been used in hundreds of spinning mills worldwide and has proven its high performance in comparative tests conducted in Türkiye.
Comparative Tests in Türkiye
In trials carried out in Türkiye, the CL-X reduced raw material loss by up to 2.5% compared to a Swiss competitor technology.
- Ring-spun application: 100% local Turkish cotton, combed compact, Ne 30/1.
- Rotor-spun application: 70% Australian cotton, 30% cotton waste, Ne 16/1.
The trials showed an improvement in yarn quality. Thanks to the WASTECONTROL system, darker-colored waste was obtained, indicating a more effective removal of impurities. With fewer IPIs (thick and thin places, neps, hairiness), higher yarn quality was achieved.
Impressed by the results, the Turkish manufacturer ordered additional CL-X machines to strengthen its production line.
High Capacity and Energy Savings
The CL-X sets new benchmarks not only in cleaning efficiency but also in production capacity and energy consumption.
- A process previously requiring two machines can now be completed with a single CL-X.
- Hourly capacity: 2,000 kg.
- Energy consumption: More than 30% lower compared to current standards.
These features reduce both energy costs and overall production expenses in spinning mills.
Design and Technical Features
The success of the CL-X is based on the engineering solutions in its design.
- Grid bar profile: Redesigned to offer 20% more cleaning surface.
- Cleaning section length: 2.60 meters, the longest cleaning zone in the industry.
- Two-step cleaning: Cotton tufts move at different speeds while adjustable systems on the opening rollers separate trash by size.
- WASTECONTROL sensor: Continuously monitors waste content and raw material quality. When fiber loss is detected, the system suggests optimized settings for knives and deflector blades.
These technical features ensure higher efficiency and minimal fiber loss.
Operator-Friendly Usage
The CL-X also stands out in terms of user convenience.
- Works in combination with the BO-P bale opener to automatically adjust settings such as grid bar position, opening roller speed, and air flow.
- Continuous monitoring of material flow prevents disruptions.
- The T-LED remote display allows full process control.
- The machine is easy to clean and maintain.
These features improve the operator’s experience and allow smooth operation even with less experienced personnel.
Global Market Experiences
The CL-X is preferred not only in Türkiye but also in spinning mills around the world. General Manager of Shri Santhosh Meenakshi Textiles G. Thiruvadi shared his experience with the machine:“With CL-X, we achieve cleaner cotton, less waste, and higher-quality yarn. Despite increasing costs and stricter environmental requirements, this technology has provided us with significant advantages.”This statement reflects one of the positive feedbacks the CL-X has received in international markets.
