Yarn Expo Autumn 2025, one of Asia’s leading textile industry events, strengthened its position in the sector as it was held in Shanghai from 28–31 October. Bringing together over 22,000 visitors from 111 countries and nearly 580 exhibitors, the fair became one of the most extensive sourcing platforms for yarns and fibres in 2025.
With its broad product mix, the fair particularly stood out for its emphasis on sustainable materials and innovative fibre solutions.
One-stop sourcing advantage: A broad product range under one roof
Across six product zones and the International Yarn Zone, the fair showcased natural fibres, innovative synthetics, specialty yarns, and eco-friendly options all on a single platform.
Notable exhibitors included:
- Docotton Group AS (Türkiye)
- PT Dan Liris (Indonesia)
- Rutex GmbH (Germany)
These companies drew strong attention with their innovative and market-relevant product portfolios.
The India Pavilion, Pakistan Zone, and Taiwan Zone further enhanced cross-border business opportunities by presenting each region’s textile strengths in a focused format.
Exhibitors and visitors: “A truly international networking environment”
Feedback from exhibitors and visitors once again demonstrated the fair’s strong role in global business exchange:
- Representatives from Woolyarns (New Zealand) described the fair as a crucial platform for connecting across the supply chain amid rising demand for natural fibres.
- Yajur Fibres (India) highlighted that meeting buyers from more than ten countries simultaneously significantly expanded their export opportunities.
- Docotton Group AS (Türkiye) noted that the strong interest in Turkish cotton signalled even larger participation in future editions.
Visitors described the fair as “comprehensive, trend-focused, and an effective space for discovering new materials.”
Synergy strengthened by concurrent fairs
Yarn Expo Autumn was held concurrently with Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Autumn Edition, CHIC, and PH Value, bringing together all major segments of the textile value chain under one roof.
This synergy enabled visitors to make faster comparisons across different categories and build more efficient sourcing strategies.
Innovation-focused fringe events, including the New Fibre New World – Textile Materials Innovation Forum and the Tongkun – China Fibre Fashion Trends Display Zone, provided further insight into the latest developments and trends in yarns and fibres.
