Italian textile machinery manufacturer Savio Macchine Tessili is preparing to present its next-generation yarn winding and spinning technologies to industry professionals at ITM Istanbul 2026. Exhibiting within the Vandewiele Group stand, the company will showcase systems focused on high efficiency, low energy consumption, digitally connected production and yarn quality. Among the technologies Savio will highlight at ITM are the Proxima Smartconer®, Lybra Smartspinner® and Phoenix Assembly Winder systems. The company is particularly focusing on developing solutions addressing textile manufacturers’ growing demand for efficiency, rising energy costs and flexible production requirements.
Proxima Smartconer® offers a digital winding infrastructure
Developed as Savio’s next-generation winding platform, Proxima Smartconer® combines high production capacity with low energy consumption within a single structure. The system is available in different configurations including fully automatic, manual feeding, cone-to-cone, Duo Lot and large bobbin feeding versions for the wool sector. Energy-saving systems, optimised bobbin flow and AI-supported functions stand out within the machine, while the Savio Insight platform enables remote setup, data monitoring and real-time performance analysis. The company emphasises that this structure provides more controlled operation, rapid intervention capability and increased efficiency throughout production processes.
Phoenix focuses on high speed and low operating costs
Another system Savio will exhibit at the show, the Phoenix Assembly Winder, is being reintroduced to the market with enhanced digital features. The system, which stands out with high productivity, low operating costs and superior package quality, can reach winding speeds of up to 1,000 metres per minute. The Phoenix system can be used for all discontinuous fibre yarns ranging from Ne 1 to Ne 140. Meanwhile, the Savio Multicone digital yarn guide system reduces setup times while optimising package formation. The company states that more stable results are achieved particularly in Two-for-One twisting processes.
Lybra Smartspinner® offers different blending possibilities
Savio’s air-jet spinning technology, Lybra Smartspinner®, has been developed especially for knitting, home textile and sunshade fabric applications. Thanks to the Multi Blend System, one of the system’s key features, two different slivers can be fed directly into the spinning chamber. This structure enables real-time blend changes while allowing different material and colour combinations to be created within the same production process. Mélange-effect yarn production is also among the system’s notable application areas. The company states that this technology reduces preparation line costs while providing greater production flexibility. Lybra Smartspinner® also aims to offer high production capacity with ease of use and low processing costs.
Digitalisation and sustainability come to the forefront
The systems Savio will present at ITM Istanbul 2026 demonstrate that digitalisation, connected production, energy efficiency and sustainable manufacturing approaches are becoming increasingly decisive within the textile industry. In particular, real-time data analysis, remote access, energy saving and flexible production infrastructures are becoming more important criteria in yarn manufacturers’ investment decisions. Through its next-generation spinning and winding technologies, the company aims to provide textile manufacturers with more efficient, more controlled and more sustainable production processes.
