Global textile technology manufacturer Karl Mayer is preparing to introduce its latest solutions for the Turkish textile industry at ITM 2026, which will take place at the Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center in Istanbul between 9-13 June. At its Hall 3, Booth 303 A stand, the company will present technologies developed for warp knitting, warp preparation and technical textiles to industry professionals. At a time when challenging economic conditions continue to impact the sector, Karl Mayer is focusing on systems that offer manufacturers more efficient, flexible and competitive production opportunities. Among the highlights the company will present at the exhibition are the HKS 4-M EL ECO warp knitting machine, new textile innovations, warp preparation technologies and indigo dyeing systems.
HKS 4-M EL ECO focuses on changing demands
The HKS 4-M EL ECO machine, which Karl Mayer will demonstrate live at the exhibition, stands out with its flexible production structure designed to respond quickly to rapidly changing fashion trends. The company states that the machine offers high efficiency, strong flexibility and a competitive price-performance ratio. Emphasising the increasing demand within the international fashion industry for systems capable of adapting quickly to changing collections, Karl Mayer notes that the HKS 4-M EL ECO was developed specifically for this purpose. During the ITM demonstration, the machine will produce a trendy outerwear fabric featuring a striking surface effect. The “crepe-on-crepe” appearance, created through crinkled textile strips and a textured crepe surface, is expected to be one of the notable highlights of the exhibition.
Technical textiles and new fabric structures stand out
Karl Mayer will also present its textile innovations developed for the Turkish market through a comprehensive showcase at ITM 2026. Tricot, lace and weft insertion fabric solutions will be among the prominent highlights of the exhibition. Products on display will include velour and corduroy upholstery fabrics, terry warp-knitted fabrics, eye-catching curtain solutions and technical performance fabrics. While the new TM WEFT technology enables expanded pattern possibilities for curtain and apparel products, the HKS 3-M EL PLUS solution allows the production of open-mesh curtain fabrics.
Lightweight performance fabrics developed especially for sportswear and active lifestyle products are also among the solutions highlighted by Karl Mayer. The company will additionally present fabric solutions capable of offering high UV protection solely through their dense textile construction. A sun-protective jacket developed within this scope was showcased at the “Performance Apparel on Stage” event held in April 2026. The exhibition will also feature fashion products developed with TENCEL™ Lyocell and Modal fibres, shade net solutions produced on the RS 2 Net machine and four-way stretch “Eyelash Lace” constructions developed on the TEXTRONIC® Multibar Jacquard Raschel machine. The company states that these new lace structures provide body-hugging comfort, freedom of movement, high fit performance and tear resistance.
Türkiye and the regional market hold strategic importance
Bastian Fritsch, Senior Sales Manager Türkiye at Karl Mayer, states that gaining access to the right information and developing new business models have become more important than ever for manufacturers under current market conditions. The company expects strong visitor attendance at ITM not only from Türkiye but also particularly from Egypt. This is regarded as an important indication of the regional transformation taking place within the textile production chain. Karl Mayer also supports its customers through testing, innovation projects and new product development activities at its new TEXTILE INNOVATION CENTER facility in Obertshausen. Application studies are carried out at the facility using net machines, lace raschel machines and various tricot systems.
Focus on efficiency in denim production
One of the company’s key focus areas in warp preparation will also be denim production. At ITM, Karl Mayer will highlight the PROWARP® and MULTI-MATIC systems. These systems, which have been used in the Turkish market for many years, provide efficiency and precision in warp preparation processes. The company will also introduce its PRODYE® indigo dyeing technology developed for slasher and rope dyeing applications.
The PRODYE®-S system enables darker indigo shades with lower dye bath volumes while delivering savings of up to 20 percent in hydrosulfite and caustic soda consumption thanks to its highly efficient indigo circulation system. Precise yarn tension control is also among the key factors improving weaving efficiency. The PRODYE®-R system, in addition to achieving darker indigo shades, offers 15-20 percent higher production capacity during rebeaming processes.
Efficiency and sustainability come to the forefront
The solutions Karl Mayer will present at ITM 2026 demonstrate the growing importance of efficiency, flexible production, sustainability and technical textiles within the textile industry. Faced with fluctuating demand structures, cost pressures and transforming production models, manufacturers are increasingly turning towards systems capable of adapting more rapidly while reducing energy and chemical consumption. Through its latest technologies, Karl Mayer aims to provide manufacturers with stronger and more sustainable production infrastructures under challenging market conditions.
