KARL MAYER experienced a trade fair process at JEC World 2026 that strengthened its presence in the composites industry. Throughout the event, the company held meetings with its existing business partners while also establishing new contacts and conducting technically focused evaluations.
Market conditions and competitive pressure came to the forefront
During discussions held at the exhibition, it was stated that global uncertainties have led to a cautious approach to investments, particularly in Western markets. On the other hand, the strong participation of the United States, Turkey, and China indicated that competition in the sector is increasing. Participants emphasized the importance of turning towards new application areas in order to maintain their current positions. The pultrusion profiles exhibited at KARL MAYER’s booth were among the highlights that attracted visitors’ attention. The solutions obtained by using fabrics produced on the company’s multiaxial warp knitting machines in this process were evaluated particularly in terms of applications for the construction and energy sectors. During the exhibition, it was also observed that interest in carbon-based applications increased. It was noted that their use has expanded especially in the automotive and mobility sectors, while new areas of application are also emerging. KARL MAYER’s solutions in this field were among the key topics highlighted in discussions with visitors.
