
Heimtextil 2026 brought together manufacturers, suppliers, retailers and purchasing professionals operating in the fields of home textiles, contract textiles and textile design. At the fair, product groups addressing different markets were showcased, alongside current trends and new practices within the textile industry.
International participation and visitor profile
According to information shared by the fair organisers, 96 per cent of the exhibiting companies were international. The countries with the highest level of participation included China, India, Pakistan, Türkiye, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. The visitor profile recorded an international participation rate of 86 per cent. An increase in visitor numbers was reported from several countries, particularly the United States, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland and Peru. It was also announced that the share of senior executives and decision-makers at the event reached 78 per cent.
Interior design and contract textiles came to the fore
Within the scope of Heimtextil 2026, interior solutions for the retail, industrial and contract sectors were exhibited. The fair programme featured products related to bedding textiles, towelling groups, decorative fabrics, functional textiles and project-based applications. As part of the Interior.Architecture.Hospitality programme held during the event, professionals active in interior architecture, design, planning and project development came together. Within this programme, textile solutions particularly targeting the hospitality, office and healthcare sectors were addressed.
Artificial intelligence and new business models
At Heimtextil 2026, artificial intelligence applications were also included in the context of changing market conditions and new business models. Under the title “Texpertise Focus AI”, presentations and exhibitions introduced examples of how artificial intelligence is used in design, production processes, data management and customer relations. Throughout the fair, business meetings, product presentations and information exchange related to the sector took place between exhibitors and visitors. The event was regarded as a meeting point for companies operating in the textile industry in terms of market monitoring, supply relations and business networking.
