Barmag brought together its customers from Fujian and Guangdong, China's two major polyamide manufacturing regions, at its "Customer Day" event held in Fuzhou. Attended by nearly 100 industry representatives, the event saw the company present its integrated solutions spanning from melt to textured yarn, while cooperation opportunities arising from its new structure within the Rieter Group and investments in sustainable technologies also ranked among the event's key topics.
Transformation of the man-made fiber industry discussed
Held under the theme "A New Era. Powered by Innovation.", the event served as a platform for information exchange and cooperation with customers from Fujian and Guangdong, two of China's leading polyamide manufacturing regions. The programme featured discussions on high value-added production, sustainability, technology investments and the future of the man-made fiber industry. The event was attended by Barmag CEO Georg Stausberg, CTO Jochen Adler and CSO Dr. Wolfgang Ernst, together with the company's sales, project, service and R&D teams from Beijing, Suzhou, Shanghai and Yangzhou.
Rieter integration opens up new opportunities
One of the notable developments during the event was the first meeting between representatives of SSM and Temco, brands within the Rieter Group, and Barmag customers. Company executives stated that, following Barmag's integration into Rieter, they aim to provide more integrated solutions covering the entire textile production chain, adding that bringing together different areas of expertise under one roof will enable the company to offer customers more comprehensive engineering support.
Integrated solutions presented from melt to yarn
Throughout the event, the sales, project and service teams delivered technical presentations covering the technologies used throughout the process from melt to filament production. Participants received detailed information on spinning, winding and texturing processes, while applications designed to improve production efficiency and Barmag's integrated engineering solutions were also presented.
Sustainability at the core of R&D activities
In his opening speech, Barmag CEO Georg Stausberg shared his views on the company's new strategic structure within the Rieter Group. Barmag CTO Jochen Adler stated that sustainability in textile machinery is no longer merely an environmental approach but has become one of the fundamental elements of product development, adding that the company's R&D activities are focused on energy efficiency and next-generation production technologies. Barmag CSO Dr. Wolfgang Ernst also assessed the opportunities facing the man-made fiber industry despite fluctuations in global markets, noting that the customer-focused approach continues to form the foundation of the company's growth strategy.
During the second part of the programme, participants visited the Fujian Eversun Jinjiang production facility, Barmag's largest polyamide customer worldwide. During the technical tour, which reflected the long-standing strategic partnership between the two companies in practice, production processes and applications were examined on site.
