Swedish Technology Companies Take the Stage at ITM 2026

Member companies of TMAS, the Swedish Textile Machinery Association, will introduce new technologies developed for different stages of textile production at ITM 2026, to be held from 9-13 June 2026. Focused on sustainability, automation, energy efficiency and process control, these solutions aim to address the current needs of the Turkish textile industry.

TMAS Secretary General Therese Premler-Andersson stated that Türkiye continues to serve as a strategic bridge between Europe and Asia, emphasizing that its integrated production structure extending from fibre to apparel remains one of the country’s key advantages. She also highlighted that strong technical expertise, an experienced workforce and an export-oriented manufacturing culture continue to position Türkiye prominently within the global textile industry.

Up to 90% Savings in Dyeing

TMAS member imogo will introduce its Dye-Max spray dyeing technology at ITM 2026 following the opening of its new showroom and test centre in Sweden. The company states that the system achieves savings of up to 90% in both water and energy consumption compared to conventional jet dyeing methods.

Already commissioned at a major H&M supplier in Bangladesh, the system enables lower chemical and dyestuff consumption thanks to its low liquor ratio, while also significantly reducing wastewater generation. Company representatives note that advanced dyeing and finishing specialists will quickly recognise the advantages offered by this technology.

Automation in Quilting Production

Another innovation to be highlighted at ITM is the P12-PB automatic lock stitch quilting unit developed by Automatex. Designed for mattress and padded home textile manufacturers, the system enables different quilting patterns to be produced without requiring mechanical changeovers thanks to its programmable structure.

Equipped with 12 servo-controlled sewing heads, an automatic bobbin changing system, thread break detection and remote access capability, the unit increases production continuity while reducing operator intervention.

Keeping Yarn Quality Under Continuous Control

Swedish company Eltex will also participate in the exhibition with its electronic yarn sensors and tension monitoring systems. Used in weaving, warping, tufting, braiding, quilting and sewing applications, these systems aim to prevent quality losses by detecting yarn breaks and tension variations at an early stage.

The ACT-Multi system, one of the company’s key highlights, maintains target tension levels by monitoring each yarn individually across different textile processes. The ACT-R system, meanwhile, stands out for providing constant weft yarn tension, particularly for yarns produced from recycled fibres and technical yarns.

New Generation Solutions for Tufting Technologies

IRO Gauge Parts, operating within the Vandewiele Group, will also present new solutions for the tufting industry at ITM 2026. The company is highlighting its system that combines the semi-module concept with single-hook performance.

Already adopted by various manufacturers in Türkiye, the solution is said to provide a more flexible and competitive production infrastructure. The new generation hooks, manufactured through precision grinding, controlled hardening and advanced quality control processes, stand out with their durability and performance-oriented design.

Confidence in the Turkish Textile Industry Continues

According to TMAS, although rising production costs and intensified global competition continue to challenge the Turkish textile industry, manufacturers investing in technology are undergoing a significant transformation process. Association representatives state that the strong interest shown in innovative technologies encourages them and that they believe ITM 2026 will create a productive environment for new business collaborations.

From dyeing and home textiles to yarn control and tufting applications, Swedish technologies will bring next-generation textile production solutions shaped by sustainability and efficiency together with industry professionals at ITM 2026.
