The Made in Filo project, which holds a distinctive position among international textile trade fairs, reaches its third edition in February 2026. Within the scope of the project, Filo develops its own fabric collection using yarns supplied by exhibiting companies. This approach transforms the fair from being merely a commercial platform into a hub for product development and inspiration.
The third Made in Filo collection to be showcased at Filo65 draws inspiration from Nexus, Filo’s product development proposal platform. Exhibitors’ yarns are transformed into fabrics through expert manufacturing and finishing processes and are presented as a tangible collection. In this way, the textile inspirations introduced by Nexus move beyond the conceptual stage and are brought to life as touchable, real products.
From Yarn to Fabric: Making the Value Chain Visible
Yarn producers participating in the project consider Made in Filo’s approach of presenting yarn together with the final product as a significant advantage. Displaying yarns in fabric form enables a clearer understanding of fiber properties, yarn structures, colors and technical performance. This allows designers and stylists to more easily envisage the fabric’s areas of use and potential applications.
A Balance Between Aesthetics and Innovation Comes to the Fore
In selecting the yarns included in the Made in Filo collection, a balance between innovative features and aesthetic value is prioritized. It is aimed that the visual and qualitative character of the yarns becomes more pronounced once the production process—particularly the finishing stage—is completed. The collection seeks to clearly reflect the impact of classic, fancy and innovative yarns on fabric.
The project also offers an inspiring platform not only for established industry professionals, but also for young designers and the next generation of textile professionals. By demonstrating how creative and value-added fabrics can be developed starting from a single yarn, Made in Filo is regarded as contributing to sectoral education and creativity.
