Techtextil and Texprocess will co-locate Exhibition Center for the first time on 4-7 May 2021 with Heimtextil, the world's largest home and contract textile fair.

Concurrent Heimtextil, Techtextil and Texprocess

International suppliers of technical textiles and nonwovens and of machines for processing textile and flexible materials will all once again come together for Techtextil and Texprocess in Frankfurt am Main from 4 - 7 May 2021. The organizers are optimistic about Messe Frankfurt, despite of the challenges bringing to the industry by corona epidemic.

“The negative environment triggered by the live Covid-19 presents a number of challenges for Techtextil and Texprocess. Although we assume that the situation will improve in the coming editions, we cannot be sure. Therefore, we are planning to organize both fairs under the management of Messe Frankfurt and its groundwork to create a concept for hygiene and safety. The number of registrations and the repercussions from the industry give us a good indication to be very positive. There is a great demand lodged for personal interaction and the chance to see innovations in action, ”says Olaf Schmidt, Vice President of Textiles and Textile Technologies at Messe Frankfurt.

New communication orientation and revised hall planning

Techtextil and Texprocess will further demonstrate their profiles with rechanneled communication measures for future fairs. In the first stage, both activities have new topic headlines. From now on, Messe Frankfurt will introduce Techtextil with the subtitle "Performance, Function. Future" and TexProcess "Technology, Productivity. Progress. Thus, more emphasis is placed on the dynamic and innovativeness reality of the industry.

There will be changes at the locations of both fairs. In 2021, they will move to the western part of the Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Center for the first time and occupy halls 8, 9, 11 and 12.

Comprehensive hygiene concept

The current Covid-19 situation means that restrictions on major events are also likely in the future. Therefore, the focus of Techtextiland Texprocess plans in May 2021 is on the health and safety of exhibitors, visitors, partners and staff members. Messe Frankfurt works on the basis of a concept that covers elaborate hygiene, medical and organizational measures. Hygiene, distance and clean air supply are important factors in the concept, which Messe Frankfurt constantly coordinates with the competent authorities.

Texprocess: Denim Future Factory

New: Texprocess will show the future of denim processing in the first 'Denim Factory of the Future', paying special attention to the sustainability and growing luxury segment for denim products. The topic of sustainability will be expanded at both trade fairs by shedding light on exhibited items and environmentally friendly ideas that, although not certified, could increase sustainability in the sector. In addition, Techtextil and Texprocess Innovation Awards honor sustainable innovations. The program at Techtextil will be completed with a new fashion show focusing on smart and functional textiles. As always, both trade fairs will provide a platform for high-level experts at conferences, seminars and panel forums.

Will be held simultaneously with Heimtextil, Techtextil and Texprocess for the first time

Techtextil and Texprocess will co-locate the Exhibition Center for the first time in May 2021 with Heimtextil, the world's largest home and contract textile fair. The Heimtextil is back up by the delay due to the current coronavirus situation adding to the restrictions on targeted international travel. Although Heimtextil is held every January in Frankfurt am Main as usual, next year it offers a unique opportunity to co-operate with Techtextil and Texprocess and deliver additional synergistic effects across the textile value chain at the same time and place. By holding all three fairs at the same time, trade visitors will be able to get a comprehensive overview of functional materials for home and contract textiles, including processing stages.
