In the Evteks Fair which is organised in collaboration with Uludag Textile Exporters Association (UTİB) and Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and Turkey Home Textile Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (TETSİAD) which is including the 'Trend Area Seminar', famous designer Bahar Korcan and with the participation of teams BCCI were hosted. The Trend Area Seminar was held for the first time this year due to the 25th year of the Evteks Fair; BTSO Vice President İsmail Kuş, UTİB Board Chairman Pınar Taşdelen Engin, TETSİAD Vice President Ahmet Serdar Sütçüoğlu, DOSAB Board Chairman Ersan Özsoy, DOSABSİAD Chairman İbrahim Öztürk and many companies in the home textile sector participated the event.
Engin: Industry, Innovation is Always Open
Pınar Taşdelen Engin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of UTİB, who gave the opening speech during the seminar, said: “Textile is a sector that is always open to design and innovation. And it needs to continue to give importance. We are also in this context as UTİB which is organised for the 9th time, this year we organized 'Turkey Home Textiles Design Competition' to encourage young designers to design for home textiles. Our goal is to increase the competitiveness of the sector and to create original designs that can create trend and trend in international markets.”

İsmail Kuş: “We have to develop innovative products”
BDSO Vice President İsmail Kuş stated that the world has undergone a process of change and transformation and said that this process emphasizes especially the innovative idea, namely innovation and design. No matter which product you develop, no matter which product you produce, if you don't make anything different, you only get a short-term success. As the representatives of the textile sector, we have to develop innovative products in this period when the difference is one step ahead of the competition. At this point, we should aim to be active in all markets by increasing our investments in R & D, design and branding.”
Sütçüoğlu: “We Offer Special Firsts for the 25th Anniversary”
TETSİAD Vice President Ahmet Serdar Sütçüoğlu also stated that they are happy because of the 25th year of Evteks Fair this year as following; “We are organizing. We had previously worked with foreign teams in these areas, but this year we are working with the renowned designer Bahar Korcan and his team. I thank them for not declining our offer.” Following the opening speeches, the famous designer Bahar Korcan and his team gave information to the participants on the topics of “Trend Reading and Collecting Trends” under the title of “Alternative Existences-Evteks 2020 Trends”
