The eight woven fabric design competition award ceremony was held at the Adana Museum and organized by the Mediterranean Textile and Raw Materials Exporters 'Association (ATHİB) with the support provided by the Ministry of Trade and Turkey Exporters Assembly (TIM). Sedef Sena Güler has won the first prize with her 'Forget River' design. Adana Chamber of Industry President Zeki Kıvanç, who conducted the opening speech of the magnificent night, pointed out that the textile sector has changed over the years and said, "Now consumers are waiting for original and different design products and they demand them immediately. Consumer preferences are changing fast and consumers are very passionate to buy a product within twenty four hours who would be waiting around nine days in 1995. Moreover, a personalized product has been demanded", he said. Adana Governor Mahmut Demirtaş, "Textile and raw materials sector set the goal in the textile and raw materials sector 2023 export strategy map ranging between design and collections diversification, to the pursuit of trends. This is an important goal faced with the textile sector and to reach this goal, all segments should put their hands under the stone, in this direction should work day and night without compromising", he said.
25 Thousand TL To The First
Sedef Sena Güler has awarded with the 'Forget River' design at the eighth Woven Fabric Design Competition valued at twenty-five thousand dollars, Serdar Akyüz has received the second prize with her 'Eureka' design priced at twenty thousand dollars, and Maide Özer has given the third prize with the ‘Iny Nary’ design valued at fifteen thousand pounds.

Deputy Minister of Trade Rıza Tuna Turagay also emphasized the importance of design, innovation and product development and said, "We, as the Ministry of Trade, will support the design offices and export abroad by publishing a notification in 2008. We have processed our supports. We have this support in today's competition in order to increase the number of designers. We must dream and run after those dreams, "he said.
