'Incentives Can Be Granted For Exports To Turkey'

Embee Group, one of the Indian machinery manufacturers, brings each of the products in their product range to introduce them to Turkish textile producers. The company performs its first export in 1989 and the adventure of exports to Turkey starts at the beginning of 90s.  Embree Group General Manager Harsh Shah stated that the trade they have been working with with Turkish companies for about 30 years now thus they have both developed and strengthened their business relations during an interview for "indiantextilejournal (ITJ)". "Turkey strategically holds very important position for the textile industry and is situated in a very important point geographically.  Turkey is a country located at the center of the global textile market", explains Harsha Shah, stating recognition of machinery and accessories are relatively high in the textile market of Turkey,

'One Of The Greatest Players Of The Global Market'

Stating the Turkish textile industry has demonstrated a great development in printing segment particularly in a couple of years, Shah says "Turkish textile is constantly growing. They have compatible development programs and despite all the negativities in the region, economic stability continues. In terms of printing, they have been going through a great development. Turkey has become one of the largest players in the global textile and apparel industry. Since it is close to Europe, Turkey focuses on the production of innovative and high quality textile products. Therefore, the machinery we export to our region must be aimed at meeting this very need."

'Support Must Be Provided For Attendance In Turkish Fairs'

Shah concludes as follows: "The Indian government can provide a number of facilities to increase the export of textile machinery and products to this region. For example, facilitating more credits or granting various incentives will substantially increase the exports made to Turkey. Indian Government should work on making incentive agreements between India and Turkey for importing the Turkish textile plants' machinery from Indian manufacturers. In fact, the Indian textile machinery manufacturers wishing to take part in textile fairs in Turkey should be provided with special incentives.
