Uzbek Bakan Tex chose partnership with Asteks

Established in 2017, Bakan Tex, one of the biggest textile manufacturing project of Uzbekistan and Central Asia market, managed to make their mark by opening their doors to new markets in a short time with their modern production facility. The company is capable of producing 41 tons of cotton yarn daily, at the moment, and makes investments with reliable international technology brands for high quality products. The Tashkent-based company has chosen Asteks as their technology partner for their grinding solutions within their investment motto: “consistent high quality in production and cost-efficiency”.

Having a modern facility dedicated to the production of fully compact spinning with 68,400 spindles, Bakan Tex is strictly committed to quality, efficiency and reliability in yarn production. The 201-AF single-head, magazine-type automatic feeding cots grinding machine, delivered and immediately installed by Asteks at the beginning of 2018, has been able to satisfy the company with its working power and efficiency. Being fully servo motor, inverter controlled, the 201-AF has the flexibility of grinding both short and long cots.

Taner Engin; ‘We welcomed Bakan Tex's urgent need with 201-AF’

Informing about how the investment process developed with Bakan Tex, Asteks Export Markets Sales Manager Taner Engin told that they had received an urgent demand for the cots grinding machine during the establishment of the factory. Emphasizing on that the company has a fully automated facility at entire production line from raw material ware house to end-product packaging, Engin said; “In fact, Bakan Tex was planning to work with another brand as per the package deal of the investment, but that machinery could not be supplied, in time. Then, the company has contacted us for an urgent supply of the cots grinding machine so that, the start-up plan of the factory should not be disturbed. By showing our usual reflex in customer supports, we have quickly dispatched our 201-AF cots grinding machine and they have started to operate it immediately”. Engin indicated that Asteks’ 201-AF model and the machine from other brand, that had been delivered later on, were situated together at the roll shop of the company, at present.

201-AF satisfied Bakan Tex with its trouble-free and user friendly structure

During the installation and start-up the 201-AF, Sekar Rajan, the Senior Technologist of the project and Mani Selvakumar, the Engineer in Charge of Technical Department of Bakan Tex, worked closely with Asteks.

Mani Selvakumar said that 201-AF works very well with its high productivity provided by its high process speed while underlining its user-friendliness. Selvakumar said; “201-AF can easily and quickly grinding both short cots for ring, roving frames and long cots for draw frame and combing machines. We have been using it for 1.5 years and during this time we did not experience any problems caused by the quality of the components and the main structure of the machine. With its high production quality, 201-AF pleased us with its trouble-free and highly user friendly structure”.

Selvakumar, talking about the grinding quality of the machine, has stated that the surface roughness (Ra) values provided by the  process is always at very good levels recorded by the frequent periodical quality controls set for high quality standards. “We also check the stability on the yarn quality data. After grinding processed by 201- AF, yarn imperfection values such as thin place, thick place, neps and hairiness are preserved,” said Selvakumar and continued his words as follows: “As a general policy, our machinery investments consists of European brands that we believe in the reliability and quality. By the experience of having different brands located in the mill, we have the chance to compare Asteks products with other European brands. I can say that; In comparison, Asteks 201-AF stands out as a more user-friendly machine with a higher processing speed and better flexibility to handle the short and long cots on the same machine without problems”.

Asteks has a high quality customer service concept

Mani Selvakumar underlined that the cooperation between Bakan Tex and Asteks is based on mutual trust as well as confidence in both technically and commercially, and said that the most important benefit that Asteks offers is their high quality customer service concept. Selvakumar; “Asteks headquarters in Istanbul and their solution-partners in Uzbekistan are always there for us with their quick and effective solutions whenever we need. The local service here offers us a great advantage. We are having difficulty in receiving similar benefits from the brands whose customer and the technical service concept is not at this quality level. We are happy with Asteks within the framework of the solutions they offer”.

The Senior Technologist of the project Sekar Rajan, who has made important contributions to the successful implementation of Bakan Tex project, said; “Asteks met our urgent need in cots grinding and gave good support to maintain our plans with the start-up”. He also underlined that Asteks products are highly cost-effective having a very good price-quality balance compared to European products. Rajan concluded his words saying; “It is not easy to find high quality and economic prices together, Asteks offers products with high investment efficiency and provides it with a very strong customer service. The strong customer and technical service provided by the after-sales and pre-sales support and the smooth running machine shows that we have made the right decision to work with Asteks”.

Asteks aprons and cots proved their success, as well

The Asteks apron and cot samples sent with the supply of 201-AF were used in trials conducted under the supervision of Sekar Rajan and Mani Selvakumar. These products that gave successful results during the trial process have led the company expand the business-ship with Asteks in cots&aprons segment. The company is supplied with Gesa-1 / OPS type perforated aprons specially designed for compact system and cots for compact ring spinning machines while cots for roving frames, draw frames and combers were also supplied.
