The Ordinary General Assembly of Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters' Association (İTHİB) was held at the Foreign Trade Complex of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM). Ahmet Öksüz was elected as the Chairman of İTHİB at the election with a single list. Speaking after the election, İTHİB President Ahmet Öksüz, ‘’I wish the election results to be favorable to all our industry stakeholders. We made a promise for our industry in our General Assembly, which we held 4 years ago. In our promise, we set our targets for our industry to be ranked amongst the top five suppliers around the globe. And today, we are proud of being the world's fifth largest textile exporter.’’
‘’We are Positive about the Future’’
Öksüz said, “We have achieved many works together that add value to our industry. In the new period, as İTHİB Board of Directors, we will continue our work for Turkish textiles with the leadership of our Turkish Exporters Assembly and with the support of our Ministry of Trade. Our most important goal in the new period is to represent our industry in the best way with our sound projects. We will surely hold a prominent position amongst the top three exporters globally in the mid-term with our delegations and fairs that will bring us market diversity in exports, and with our projects that will increase added value, and with our promotional activities. On the way to achieve this success together; our responsibility is big, our excitement remains, our faith is complete! We are not worried about the future but hopeful. Because of exporting with our association, we are proud together.’’
