ITMA Barcelona 2019 was particularly stimulating feelings of enthusiasm and optimism this year, as the sector faced a challenging environment amid a stagnant global economy. In order to keep pace with the rapidly changing market needs, which are becoming increasingly competitive in both performance and quality, machine suppliers, textile mills and other key players have met in Barcelona to discover innovative solutions and learn more about current trends.
In this context, Staubli had great enthusiasm for introducing machines and systems in the shedding area (eccentric machines, dobbies and Jacquard machines) and weaving preparation (drawing-in, cross-drawing and warp knotting machines). As a result of intensive R & D efforts, the equipment was developed to include functions that meet the needs and wishes of Staubli customers.
SAFIR S60 Automatic Drawing System with Active Warp Control
The SAFIR drawing systems range offers unique advantages thanks to Staubli's special yarn re-management system AWC (Active Warp Control). AWC relies on optical, non-contact detection and measurement of yarn properties using two cameras. High-performance processors analyze images and provide precise data at millisecond intervals provided that warp yarns are processed. Errors are detected with high precision on the other side by means of the programmed drawing-in on one side and the comparison of these data obtained with repeating the factory's own experimental values with the production parameters.
New S1792 Eccentric Machine
Staubli offers machines that perfectly meet the changing market demands and the relevant customer needs through continuous R & D activities. Staubli also launched the 10-foot S1792 eccentric machine at ITMA Barcelona, which offers greater flexibility in new air-jet applications. This eccentric drive is used in conjunction with the high-performance e32 / e33 drive group with maintenance-free bearings and low maintenance requirement by reducing maintenance times and maintenance costs.
LXXL Jacquard Machine Equipped with NOEMI Electronic System
The LXXL machine supports large formats for plain, terry and velvet fabrics (up to 25,600 hooks or up to 51,200 hooks in a combined installation). It can be used for clothing, upholstery silk weaving, bed linen, bedspreads and technical applications. Directly assembled components, such as optimally matched kinematics and drives of all moving parts inside the machine; ensure routine weaving of even very heavy fabrics.
N4L Jacquard Machine
Staubli’s most contemporary reaction to the challenges faced in touching fabric edges is the N4L, which uses the finest and most valuable yarns in the most fashionable fabrics, allowing complex patterns to be woven at the highest speeds. The machine is available in two formats: 80 or 128 hooks. It has a strong structure and dustproof design.

D4S Sock Toe Closing Device Shortens Sock Production
In many factories the sock toe closure is done manually or after manual intervention by the operator using a sewing machine. This process takes time and quality is compromised. Staubli's D4S automatic sock toe closing device changes all that. In the knitting machine, it closes the socks with a fast and smooth stitch, significantly shortens the production of socks, ensures that the product is produced in top quality and uniformly and minimizes delays.
