Itema Expands Its Production Network

Itema, the Italian multinational company manufacturing advanced weaving solutions including weaving machines, spare parts and integrated services, has signed an agreement for taking over of Schoch group. Schoch, headquartered in Italy (Ranica, Bergamo Province) and in India, is a leading producer of weaving accessories, including reeds and other components.

Galaxy Project

The operation is part of the Galaxy project, the wider strategy of Itema launched in 2017 with the target to integrate, through strategic diversifications across the whole textile supply chain, key expertise and resources for the development of weaving machines components, Itema officials said in a media release.

Following to the acquisition of majority stakes in Lamiflex completed in 2017 and the recent agreement reached with PTMT (ex Panter), the agreement signed with Schoch group represents a further significant step for the synergic development of key weaving machine accessories as well as a remarkable reinforcement of Schoch commercial network.

Itema is the only manufacturer in the world to provide the top three weft insertion technologies: rapier, air jet and projectile, with an ample product portfolio and a commitment to continuous innovation and technological advancement of its weaving machines.

Itema at KTM 2019

Focusing on developing its production network, Itema exhibited its new generation weaving solutions to sector experts and regional representatives at KTM Fair in Kahramanmaraş in September. The company's innovations in weaving technologies were followed with seeming interest by visitors. Participation of the KTM Fair with the representative company Bilol, Itema has maintained its’ leading position in Turkish market with the technology and after-sales service that has been developed in recent years connected with the high-level services.

Bilol Mümessillik has been regularly participating in KTM Fairs since 2014,the first KTM Fair, and attracts the attention of regional textile producers with its Itema weaving machines. Galip Bilol, General Manager of Bilol Agency, emphasized that KTM 2019 Fair has an important value for the region; “KTM Fair is an organization that continues to develop from day one. The importance for both machine manufacturers and we sales representatives is increasing every year. As far as I can see, the industrialists of the region also appreciate this fair. This is seen very clearly from the increasing interest and noticeable participation.’’
