Exporters of Uludag Exporters' Associations (UIB) met with Mr. Adnan Yildirim, General Manager of Turk Eximbank at “Financing of Exports Turk Eximbank Informing Meeting” and had the opportunity to receive detailed information about credit opportunities. “Eximbank loans are the most important source for our exporters, who have been in a shortage of financing due to the fluctuation in exchange rates, which is the most important source of these problems.” said UIB Coordinator President Baran Çelik.
The meeting held at the Crowne Plaza and UIB Coordinator President Baran Celik, Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) Vice President Cüneyt Şener, BTSO Board Members Osman Nemli, Haşim Kılıç, Muhsin Koçaslan, Uludağ Apparel and Apparel Exporters' Association (UHKİB) Chairman Nüvit Gündemir, Uludağ, Vice President of the Automotive Industry Exporters 'Association (OİB) Orhan Sabuncu, Former President of UHKİB Şenol Şankaya, Previous Period Chairman of the URICA Exporters' Association (UMSMİB) Orhan Gençoğlu also attended the meeting.
Eximbank Support to Exporters
Celik who emphasized the importance of Eximbank loans for exporters stated that; “Our exporters have the opportunity to protect their export receivables with Exchange Rate Options against foreign exchange risks. It is important the efforts of Trade Ministry, Turkey Exporters Assembly, Association of Exporters and Eximbank against the recent exchange rate which is faced by our exporters and these efforts have a critical importance for Turkey’s export-based growth.”
Turk Eximbank General Director Adnan Yıldırım who emphasized that Turk Eximbank is the only bank which has a great effect on Turkey’s export based growth, also mentioned that they have brought the sources from foreign countries for medium and long term which Turkish exporters needed and they are also on the 7th place for bringing sources. Yıldırım who stated that Turk Eximbank currently uses an average of 10 billion dollars overseas, also said, “We will continue to maintain the next source in the same way and then try to improve this by improving the conditions of the costs. This is very important for medium and long term sector loans and investments.”
