Woolmark Meets Students and Brands

The Woolmark Company, a brand owned by Australian Wool Innovation, meets the leading brands of Turkey and the students studying in fashion design departments and explains the contributions of the merino wool industry to fashion and life. Initially, the Woolmark Company organizes a "Business Leader Forum".  Nearly 40 textile brands including brands such as Altınyıldız, Boyner, Hemington, İpekiş and Sanko attend the Forum.  Stressing the fact that Australia is the world's largest producer and exporter of wool, Marc Innes-Brown, Australian Ambassador, suggests Australia have been exporting wool for years.  Brown states the trade between Turkey and Australia is $1.7 billion in 2017. "We are here to do business with you to deliver your yarns, fabrics and clothing to consumers.
We also carry out studies on international platforms to remind us of the versatility of the wool.
Naturalness, renewability and bio-compatibility are going to be the most requested features by consumers", says Nigel Gosse, Great Britain and Turkey Countries Manager at The Woolmark Company.

Seminars Held For Students

Delivering a speech during the Woolmark Performance Challenge contest they have organised, Gosse says they are working on improving the features of the wool with college students in the project. As a part of the project, it also holds a fashion design and a seminar called 'Naturally Inspiring' for textile students.
