International Textile and Garment Summit Took Place

In Turkey, representing 30 sectoral and regional associations and nine thousand three hundred industrialists attached to it; Fashion and Garment Federation (MHGF) is signing an important organization to recover from this stuck situation in a certain range of textile and apparel exports for many years. At the Istanbul International Textile and Apparel Summit held in cooperation with Istanbul Kultur University (IKU), industry representatives, global and national suppliers, academics and regional opinion leaders have come together. In 2017, the MHGF took the regional workshops that were launched under the name of "Investment and Employment Mobilization in Anatolia". As a new player in the foreign markets in Anatolia, the company aims to contribute on the rising momentum of exports and growing economy of the country.

Öztürk: Production, Employment and Export are Our Most Important Titles

MHGF Chairman Hüseyin Özturk;  “Production, employment and our export of our country, underlined by the business community, the three most important titles. Textile and apparel sector, performs approximately 20 per cent of exports of Turkey, is strategically important for the local economy and having a pioneering role in women's employment” said in a review of the Summit. Öztürk continued his words as following: “Ready-to-wear sector continues to spread to Anatolia with the natural clustering in recent years, especially in Turkey’s eastern and south-eastern regions. Istanbul International Textile and Apparel Summit will create a business network for each of these producers to complete each other, while on the other hand, our exports have been blocked for a long time and we will make a breakthrough with the new and effective players. This important organization; covers the university-industry cooperation inwhich businesses, groups and Turkey's global brand value of the supply chain section stores have become together to act in a coordinative way. "

Öztürk who stated that they organised the event especially in a university to let the institutions in order to move with the sector and to be involved with it, gathering with the purpose of combining practical and theorical information; Öztürk also declared that the summit will gather the governmental, non-governmental institutions, member industries, suppliers, academicians and solution partnerships.
