The 6th edition of the Symposium on the Current Developments in Textile Technologies, which was organized in Gaziantep, Turkey’s growing textile region, brought both the industry experts and the academics together

GGÇTT Opened Its Gates for the 6th Time

The 6th edition of the Symposium on the Current Developments in Textile Technologies, organized by the TMMOB the Southern Branch of the Chamber of Textile Engineers, was held on May 12, in Gaziantep. The current problems of the sector and the things that should be done for the development of the sector was discussed in the symposium, which was organized in Zeugma Congress and Culture Center.

Just as they had done in the previous years, both the academics and the industry experts made presentations at the seminar this year. ‘The supports that can be used in the textile sector’ was the topic in the opening panel of the seminar. The other topics of the symposium, which was held in 4 sessions are as follows; Alternative Methods for Removing the Color of the Dyehouse Waste Waters, The Sectoral Situation of the Turkish Textile Machines, High-tecy Revolution in Autocoro8 / Rotor Spinning, The Importance of Ceramic in Textile, S-Z Twiisting Machines-Yarn Folding and Transfer Machines, The New Direct Twist Series Multi-function Carpet Yarn Twisting Systems, Heat-Seat Fixing in Carpet Yarn, Synthetic Yarn and Fiber Production Machines, Dystar Chemical Sizing Products, Technological Developments in Rapier andA ir Jet Weaving Machines, Evaluating the Technlological Developments in the Weaving Machines of ITMA 2011, Softeners, The Difficulties Encountered in Application and Evaluating the Attitude, Perfect White, Textile Coating Technologies, New Trends in Water and Energy Saving, Silicon-based Chemicals in Textile Technologies and Examples of Application, Microcapsules that provide the Textile Materials with Functional Feature.

The first edition of the seminar, organized every year by the Southern Branch of the Chamber of Textile Engineers, had been held in Adana with 610 participants. The second edition was held in Kahramanmaraş with 450 participants, the third edition was in Gaziantep with 400, the fourth edition was again in Kahramanmaraş with 540 and the fifth edition was held in Gaziantep with the participation of 490 people. Seminars attracted participants mainly from Adana, Kahramanmaraş, Gaziantep, Kayseri, Malatya, Hatay, Adıyaman and Şanlıurfa. 485 people attended the seminar this year.
