Support for Education Scholarship Protocol was signed between Kahramanmaraş Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KMTSO) and Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University (KSÜ) in order to support qualified students’ placement to the KSÜ Textile Engineering Department. With the cooperation, it was aimed to provide scholarships to students in order to contribute to the training of textile engineers with knowledge, skills and training in Kahramanmaraş, which is a pioneer in textile production.

The scholarship to be provided in this context will be given to the first 10 successful students among the ones who chose Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Textile Engineering Department in their first 15 choices. The protocol signing ceremony was attended by KMTSO President Şahin Balcıoğlu, KSÜ Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kadir Saltalı and KMTSO Board Member Ertuğrul Tanrıverdi.

Balcıoğlu said, "Last year, it was promised that scholarships will be given to our students in case of their interest with Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University within the framework of certain criteria with TİM. First of all, we would like to thank our friends who meet these criteria for choosing us for their trainings this year. In a city covered with textiles, we wish you not only read books and get pass grades but also use laboratories more as our main work also known as fashion and as we are all always in need of and in pursuit of new things. We have 8 students who qualify for scholarship this year”.

KSU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kadir Saltalı said, “Scholarships will be given to KSU Textile Engineering students within the scope of this protocol. As we all know, we have a textile department in Kahramanmaraş Technical Sciences Vocational School. We are training middle man here. Our textile engineering department was built-in later on. Kahramanmaraş is also one of our leading cities in the textile industry. In the past years, we signed a protocol with KMTSO in order to meet the various demand of technical staff in our city and for our talented students to attract textile engineering. Of course, this protocol needs to be renewed every year. Our President expressed that they would give their best support for Kahramanmaraş on this issue
